About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help lead the development of a brand-new application for a leading payroll and HR solutions company. This is a rare ground-floor opportunity to shape the architecture, front-end experience, and content infrastructure of a greenfield product from day one.
You’ll be working as part of a highly collaborative, distributed engineering team, designing and building modern web applications that are secure, scalable, and beautifully crafted.
We’re especially looking for someone with a strong front-end background in React (Material UI) and experience integrating custom design systems, APIs, and headless CMS platforms like Directus.
What You’ll Do

Work closely with the Architect development teams to build a client facing payroll application from the ground up

Develop responsive, accessible, and performant front-end applications using React and Material UI (MUI)

Build and maintain custom design systems and reusable UI components

Integrate with and design scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs

Leverage headless CMS platforms like Directus to deliver dynamic content at scale

Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX concepts into production-ready code

Participate in full-stack development using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks

Work with a globally distributed team in an Agile environment

Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices and standards
What you will bring:

10+ years of full stack engineering experience, with a focus on front-end technologies

Advanced proficiency in React and Material UI (MUI), including custom theming and design systems

Familiarity with headless CMS platforms like Directus, Contentful, or Sanity

Experience working on greenfield projects or large-scale refactors

Comfortable working in distributed/remote teams with strong async communication skills
Nice-to-Have:

Direct experience with Directus, including schema design and admin customization
Backend experience Python/Django, API, & AWS expertise
This is a remote, work from home position. This role is to be filled outside the states of California and Colorado.
