Job Title: Senior Engineer Consultant, Data Science
Location: Major U.S. Metro Area (Hybrid / Remote Options)

This role provides the opportunity to own full-lifecycle data science initiatives, deliver actionable strategic insights, and mentor junior technical talent within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Project Execution: Direct end-to-end data science projects, covering initial data extraction and pipeline building through to model validation, production deployment, and ongoing monitoring.

Algorithm & Model Development: Build, train, and refine statistical models, deep learning frameworks, and machine learning solutions tailored to solve strategic business challenges.

Data Engineering & Integration: Clean, transform, and synthesize disparate structured and unstructured data sources into robust, production-ready analytical pipelines.

Operationalization: Deploy models into production environments utilizing REST services, execution scripts, automated triggers, and continuous performance tracking.

Stakeholder Alignment: Translate complex quantitative findings into compelling executive narratives and interactive data visualizations for non-technical business partners.

Mentorship: Provide daily technical coaching, code reviews, and project guidance to one or two junior data scientists.

Continuous Innovation: Research and integrate emerging analytical methodologies, open-source libraries, and data tools to continuously improve technical capabilities.
Requirements (Must-Have)

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or 4+ years of relevant practical experience (including equivalent military background).

4+ years of hands-on professional experience building and deploying predictive models and advanced analytics solutions, ideally within a client-facing or advisory capacity.

Expertise applying statistical techniques, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing/text classification.

Fluency in Python and SQL for advanced data manipulation, feature engineering, and model development.

Hands-on experience leveraging high-volume processing tools such as PySpark, Scala, or modern distributed computing technologies.

Demonstrated ability to manage data science solutions across the full software and analytics lifecycle.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of presenting technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

Experience developing analytical applications or predictive models within high-volume communications or networked infrastructure sectors.

Familiarity with enterprise data lakes, Hadoop frameworks, and large-scale ETL workflow design.

Experience crafting custom web visualizations, analytical dashboards, or interactive decision tools.
