Risk Analyst (Contractor)
We’re seeking a Risk Analyst for a short-term contract with our client. This role requires disciplined task execution across Credit & Operational Risk, with potential involvement in Liquidity and/or Regulatory Risk, directly contributing to the integrity of our client's global financial operations.

Your focus will be on the day-to-day execution of established risk policies and procedures. You will:
- Support the daily and monthly reporting cycles, ensuring the accurate and timely production of management information and risk reports.
- Perform counterparty credit risk due diligence reviews, assessing credit (rating) scores, and confirming credit limits are appropriately set.
- Monitor counterparty limit utilization, outstanding trades, and review limit exception requests from business stakeholders.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on large data sets, verifying accuracy and data integrity for risk analysis.
- Analyze customer financial statements and trading activity to identify and assess potential risk exposures.
- Adhere to existing day-to-day processes and procedures, recommending targeted enhancements where efficiency gaps are identified.
- Assist in the execution of both Credit & Operational Risk tasks as defined by the annual risk management plan.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail combined with robust analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and rapidly assimilate new processes and data requirements.
- Foundational understanding of financial statements, key financial ratios, and financial reporting.
- Basic familiarity with core risk concepts and methodologies, including Value-at-Risk (VaR), mark-to-market (P&L), and capital adequacy.
- Strong organizational skills required to successfully manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet established deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate with team members and internal support areas.
- Proficiency in programming and data query languages such as SQL and Python, a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a technical field such as Engineering or Mathematics.
