Our client is looking for a temporary Immigration Specialist to cover for a leave of absence. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and experienced professional who can manage the day-to-day operations of our global immigration program. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of immigration cases and providing consultative support to internal clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day immigration case activities and track progress in case management systems.
- Ensure compliance with company immigration procedures and state/federal/global regulations, including required physical and electronic postings on company internet.
- Monitor and answer inquiries from the immigration mailbox and JIRA.
- Advise and communicate regularly with employees and managers on a variety of immigration matters.
- Review, validate, and process invoices from external immigration service providers.
- Review documents prepared by our immigration vendor for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain current knowledge of global and U.S. immigration law changes and highlight potential impacts to the company.
- Update employee records in Workday and immigration vendor systems.
- Draft invitation and visa stamping letters for business travel visa requests.
- Assist with the secure transfer and validation of sensitive immigration case data between key management platforms
- Translate business needs into reporting requirements, ensuring leadership has visibility into key metrics, trends, and risks.
Qualifications
- Ability to apply U.S. and global immigration law to evaluate work visa cases.
- Experience with country-specific visa types and processes.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree (Paralegal certificate or related immigration credentials preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in U.S. employment based immigration; experience with I-9 compliance preferred
- 2- 3 years of experience with the processing of PERM/ Labor Certification cases
