  • Ryan Pollock Managing Partner

I was born in New Brunswick, NJ and grew up in a suburb just off Exit 9. I am not proud of The Jersey Shore and want everyone to know that, while there were people like them around me, I was definitely not in that crowd. As a child I loved to play sports and I still stay active as much as I can. I graduated from Rutgers over 15 years ago and, after a year in NYC, have been in Chicago ever since. I am married to a beautiful woman from the South Side and have two lovely and spirited little girls. My passions are for my family, friends and of course for business. I love to work hard and play hard, but these days find most of my playing is with the family – which is just fine by me.

I kind of fell into recruiting like most people and found myself loving it. At first, I was just happy to not be at my previous accounting job. I enjoyed talking to people all day, found it exciting to be in a chase to make a placement, and of course found it gratifying to help people find new and cool jobs. We have always supported cutting edge technology searches, so I have been in a fortunate situation to have very exciting opportunities to share with candidates. These days, my enjoyment in recruiting comes from working on ways to make Talution Group the best staffing company it can be and by providing opportunities for our team to learn the staffing business and mature into top notch recruiters and account managers. The success of our team is what fuels my fire!

  • Kevin Krumm Managing Partner

I was born and raised in the South Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia and enjoyed spending summers at the real Jersey Shore, not the MTV version. I attended Rutgers University and began my career in recruiting at a firm in New York City. I have been living and working in Chicago for over eight years. Moving to Chicago was life changing for me. This is where I met my wife, a fellow transplant and a Floridian. We both love living in Chicago, but we make sure we find time to get back to New Jersey and Florida to see our families.

I knew for a while I wanted to be in a sales role. I enjoy recruiting because I found not only the opportunity to satisfy my urge to sell, but I found I love the thrill of the hunt for the right candidate and the double-sell! Even if you have the right candidate for the job, both the candidate and the client have to say yes in a relatively short window. There are so many variables that each placement is different, and they are all as rewarding as they are challenging. Nothing in our business is more satisfying than hearing from a happy candidate we’ve placed and a client that is truly appreciative of the work we’ve done.

  • Kelly Hallgren Account Executive

I was born in New Mexico and moved to Iowa at the age of four. After graduating from Western Illinois University, I completed an internship with Von Maur department stores, where I had my first taste of recruiting when I assisted in the opening and staffing of a new store in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have been in the Chicago area for over seven years and have been in the recruiting industry for six.

I find recruiting very rewarding when connections are made with people and opportunities. I also work with a great team here at Talution Group and that keeps me motivated and focused.

  • Eric Recker Technical Recruiter/Account Manager

I was born and raised in Cincinnati and attended the University of Cincinnati, where I majored in Business Management and Marketing. I never thought I would get into the staffing industry, but found myself in recruiting and account management right out of college. I left the industry for a year but quickly returned to work for Talution Group. I have been in Chicago for more than a year and I have really enjoyed the move and can’t envision myself living anywhere else. After three years in the recruiting industry, I have found my niche in technical recruiting for Talution Group.

I enjoy recruiting because of its competitive nature and knowing that when you make a placement you are directly impacting someone’s life in a positive way. I love the fact that I come into work and I don’t know what that day is going to bring. I feel that this industry makes you a better person both professionally and outside of work. It tests your patience and decision making, and in order to succeed, you must have a strong sense of integrity.

  • Robyn Hagadorn Recruiter

I was born in the “village” of Arkport, NY and attended the same public school from Kindergarten through 12th grade, where I graduated in a class of 39 people. During 9th grade, I was fortunate enough to be an exchange student in Milan, Italy , a trip that helped me discover my love of travel. Since then, I’ve visited Austria, Germany, Belgium, Amsterdam, France, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Ireland, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Greece is my favorite destination thus far. I graduated from Syracuse University and moved to Washington, DC to work in the health and fitness industry for five years. I started my career in technology staffing and consulting after I took a job as a Business Developer for Sapphire Technologies. I met my fiancé while on vacation in San Diego and together we decided to try a new city and relocated to Chicago in 2011. Now, I’m trying to sock away enough sanity over the summer to get me through the winters here (along with planning my next trip to a sunny destination).

I like recruiting because I’m always up for a challenge and I think the IT revolution is fascinating. It’s hard to fathom that we did business with typewriters, fax machines and couriers! How did we go anywhere without cell phones, book our vacations and keep up with long lost friends? Technology makes our world turn and it’s cool to be a part of that movement.

  • Jeff Mier Technical Recruiter

I was born in Ohio and we moved around a lot. When I was in 1st grade, I moved to Chicago. In those days, every Cubs game was a day game and it aired on WGN. I spent several years here, a few years in Michigan (I went to Ferris State University and I’m proud to be a Bulldog) and came back “home” for the Cubs and the pizza. I love living here because I still run with a group of friends I have known since grade school. From the sports, food and the sites, nothing beats Chicago.

I love my job – people say that all the time, but for me it’s true. Each day is different, as is each job I help staff. My first boss said to me, “You don’t hire people or fill jobs. You match great talent with career opportunities.” Nothing is cooler than offering someone a job.
